Sick Dog
Hi all, When i got home from work last night, i went to let Jabba in & he was acting very shy when normally he is going feral when i get home. He was dribbling a bit as well which he doesnt normally do too. So i let him in & he wasnt interested in playing or anything, wouldnt come near me so i was getting a bit worried. I checked him over for ticks because they have been pretty bad but didnt find any. He had a fair few fleas though, so i gave him a spray with frontline. He started to get a bit more playful later on & then this morning he was a lot better but still a bit quiet. Im going home at lunch to check on him & hopefully he is back to normal.
Ive got no idea what was wrong with him, any suggestions?

Re: Sick Dog
Maybe ate something or maybe he was chasing something about the garden and tired himself out. Keep an eye out for any more off behaviors like drooling and panting. If he is doing so take him to the vets to be safe !

Re: Sick Dog
Glad he is feeling better, may have been a spider bite, or he ate a slug Hopefully whatever it was has passed now

Generally speaking I thing dogs in general take great pleasure in eating anything that we may find remotely disgusting, slugs , dead animals, poop, grass, turds just so they can watch our face change

Glad he's doing better. Jelly pulled something like that at the end of August, really freaked me out, she would not move, she was shaking, dribbling... same the next morning, took her for a walk, let her play with a couple of dogs in the park and she was right back to bounding around, full speed running, playing like a loony...
currently she is eating the cats' plastic spinny mouse track toy piece by piece. she also loves cardboard. Dogs are weird.

Maybe the same reason some humans eat snails or maybe because they are just disgusting, slugs that is not dogs
