Tummy problems-again :(
Hi all, will try to be brief. When we came back from Ireland about 3 weeks ago Debo was of his food so we mix it since we came back with 20g of rice and 20g of wet JWB, his main food is F4Ds. Normally he has 4 poo's a day. The first one perfect and then is getting softer and softer. Sometimes he has diarhea. I've put down to his treats- cow hoof and those chews for teeth so I removed from the menu. But no difference. How long can the cooked rice be left in the fridge? Can it be the wet food?

Re: Tummy problems-again :(
I know u have to be careful with rice. When my 2 were poorly I was cooking them steamed chicken n rice in the electric steamer, used to get up in the morning chuck it all in and make enough got the entire day.
I wouldn't leave rice in the fridge longer than a day tbh.
Also 4 poops sounds a lot ? Mine poop once a day....
Could be that Debo just has a very sensitive and reactive tummy.....can't really suggest anything else tbh but if go with chicken n rice or potatoe until he's bk to normal.

4 poos is now a standard. Yes, he has very sensitive tummy. What I was thinking for tonight to give him only his f4ds? Some people say that rice can be left in the fridge for 5-6 days, that cant be right!

4 poohs a day is a lot, i would think about switching him to raw or maybe trying out another food brand.

Re: Tummy problems-again :(
Sorry I missed this, JWB did exactly the same to Moo, they would start solid and get progressively worse through the day, I also tried the rice thing, its one of the reasons why I changed to F4dogs. Fingers crossed for Xx

Re: Tummy problems-again :(
Thd poos are not big. It's like first is bigish and the rest very small. Since putting off rice and wet jwb he's doing 3. He always done 4, when, as a little puppy,on eukanuba he did 5 to 6. That was a lot for as. And he even didn't like the food and didn't eat it all. Thanks Janey. In few days, when he's better for sure, will try nex f4ds. Have you tried it yet with Sash.

I'm in the process of switching mine to raw, and tbh, u cant beat natural tbh.
I'd try with green tripe if I wanna try raw. It's very lean and really really good for them, full of natural probiotics etc. My 2 love it. But it's the stinkiest thing on the planet !

Hi Jola, I would just stick with the F4D and a stag bar for now. As you know, Sophie cannot tolerate rice at all. ><

Re: Tummy problems-again :(
Rice should be cooked and eaten fresh, it isn't really something that should be reheated and used again. Just cook a small amount each time and use it up. Try to keep to one brand of kibble if you can without switching around as this can cause an upset tummy.

Re: Tummy problems-again :(
Debo's tummy is really sensitive. It took us long time to find the right food. Just the trip to Ireland put him a bit off it that's why we tried to make it more interesting . That's why I'm hopping that the new f4d formula will be good for him, because the old one was perfect . And it would be bad to change his food again.
