Re: peeing,pooping and whining
Has he got a clean bill of health?
How often is he taken to the toilet area?
What toys/distractions does he have to keep himself amused?
Welcome to the board.

Re: peeing,pooping and whining
Hi there, welcome to the forum.
A few questions, if you don't mind?
* Has he had all his jabs. If so, when can he start to go out?
* Have you tried training him with anything other than pads? Do you have a garden?
* What does have to eat? What brand food, and how often?
* Does he seem to drink a lot?

Re: peeing,pooping and whining
What about his jabs - when is he allowed out?
Do you only use puppy pads, or do you have a garden?

I'd be inclined to change the food for a start.

Bakers is probably the worse food you can buy, and Wagg isn't too far behind it. It really would be better to get him off that asap.
Don't let him just run around inthe courtyard whenever he wants while you're house training him. Physically take him out there every hour, plus after he's woken up/been playing/had food. If he goes to toilet outside give him loads of praise, if he goes inside ignore it (other than cleaning it up, of course!). The same if he toilets while he's out on a walk - loads of praise!
It'll take a short while, but he'll soon work out that going to toilet outside = praise & fuus, going inside means he gets nothing at all.

when he does go outside to go loo he gets loads of praise and when he does it indoors he gets ignored but he doesn't seem to get it , we take him out after food, play time and when he wakes up but he will not go toilet he will wait till we get back indoors and go i dont think ive used my carpet cleaner so much and its got to the point where one of my neighbours knocked the other day to say that when i run to the shop all he done was howl

Re: peeing,pooping and whining
I'm going to suggest a food a lot haven't yet heard of - it's mid-range food with a fair nutritional profile at a reasonable cost - Latham's.
I foster lots of dogs and Latham's really agrees with all of them - no runny poo during transition, and low volume of excretion, so there isn't lots to clean up.
If their puppy food is as good as their adult food, I think it could be a good choice.
It's available in Tesco (well, most of them, at least) off the shelf.

Re: peeing,pooping and whining
For the howling - and this is the tough bit - it will take time.
Some of my fosters have crazy anxiety if I go out - one leapt a six foot internal gate and went mad around the house (including a fabulous poo on the bed).
To address this, I put them where they'll be staying when I'm out, then go out for a minute.
Then, later in the day, two minutes. Then five. Then 10. Etc.
Building up the "tolerance" as we go.
I do the same with dogs that have travel issues - gradual desensitizing.
Leaving a radio on for them, so it doesn't suddenly go quiet, is also quite successful for a lot of people, especially in tandem with a frozen treat in a Kong - made up and put in the freezer the night before you need it.

If he doesn't, pick it up, put it away, then bring it back out at next meal time.
Or add something with a strong flavour to it, like the "juice" from a can of tuna, or some very small bits of cheese - usually the smellier the better.

some of my friends have suggested the whining is due to the breed he is crossed with, but i doubt this is the case
