How much should a pup weigh??
Well i weighed Marley so i could give him the right amount of food, but ive always thought he is very small for 7 weeks (this is only what the seller told us he is) but he weighs just 1.8kg is this about right for a 7 week old pup??

Re: How much should a pup weigh??
There isn't really a right or wrong answer to that.
As long as he isn't fat, but isn't a skinny ribs then he's a good weight!

Got a vague memory that Tommy was about 3kg at 8 weeks so with growth would say thats not bad as Tommy is quite big boned

Morpheus is 4.2kg at 8 weeks.. But he's certainly not fat or underweight.

Amado was 4.2kg at 8 weeks as well, but he's crossed with a Springer Spaniel, so I'm not sure if that changes things much.

That's our guideline as well. They all grow at different rates and hit growth spurts at different times.

Re: How much should a pup weigh??
Buster is almost 12 weeks old and 6.5 kilos. Not an ounce of fat on him, just plenty if skin to grow into ha ha. Did find an adult weight predictor online, which you could specify breed. Don't know how reliable but Buster came out at around 16 kilos! Steadily been gaining around a kilo a week. Good food, good exercise and let nature do the rest.
