skin issues!
okay so a few weeks ago i noticed these weird redish brownish stains inbetween Vinny's paws and around his nail beds, and a bit around his mouth. so i bathed him and it didnt budge so i took him to the vets to be safe. and she said that he could have allergies and the staining was from him licking where it was itchy.
she gave me antibiotics, piriton and this fatty oil to put in his food and its been a few weeks and nothing has really changed. the vet was really vague, didnt answer many of my questions that directly, wouldnt commit to a definite answer and said that it could be an on-going issue.
i never catch him chewing or licking his paws and he rarely scratches himself
just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or might know of a way to get rid of the stains?

Re: skin issues!
The stain comes from their saliver when they have been chewing themselves. Why not have another word with the vet and see what else they can come up with.

Re: skin issues!
The brown staining is yeast growth.
I add apple cider vinegar to their food, as it kills yeast and it has made a world of difference
Also diet plays a big part what are you feeding

I can vouch for the apple cider vinegar - it does work.
What food are you giving him?

its been better this week but it goes through stages of being bad then it seems to clear up and so on.
defiantly going to try the apple cider vineger, thanks for the tip!
hes currently getting james wellbeloved and hes had that since i got him, sometimes he gets tuna or oily fish as a friend said that can help his skin.
