more people need give blood

everytime i go less and less people are there....

there no excuses for not giving blood if your fit and health, it doesn't hurt and only take 10 or so mins

if you don't like needles don't look at it, I'm not a fan of needle but just just get on with it because it will help someone and one day someone from my family may need help

I have done in the past, and whenever the mobile unit comes round here I still do!

I'm looking into doing it 4 times a year now male allow to do it but the one i go to only come around so many times if i wanted to do it 4 times a year i have to go to a mobile unit I'm not sure if we get one around my area i don't fancy traveling to far away when i give blood

Some hospitals have drop in centres nowadays - does Nottingham?

the QMC is about 45mins away on the bus to me a bit far away

I'm not healthy but if I was, I wouldn't be giving blood anytime soon due to my needle phobia. I'm not scared of blood or of the needle itself, it's just an illogical fear of it. I think it's because I used to have them all the time when I was a kid. I can hardly convince myself to get a blood test for my own health, let alone to help other people, as selfish as that is.

don't look at it then it doesn't hurt, i dont like needle but i do it to help other because one day one of my member family may need help..

Only bit I don't like is that bloody tape they use for the dressing. They need to invent a better tape. One that doesn't leave your arm smooth as a babies bum
