vomited a little bit of blood
So Callie threw up this AM (on our bed, of course). Initially clear fluid, but then mucus with a dot of blood, then quite a bit of blood-streaked mucus. Took her out for a normal pee and normal poop (not loose, no blood); she drank some water, was playful and licky afterward. Chasing her tail and trying to chew my pajamas as usual. I felt her stomach and it didn't bother her, I don't think she was bloated or had any pain.
Don't think she ate anything weird except her usual attempts at deer poop, she might have gotten some Saturday (I'd like to think it was dirt but I know better).
Called the vet as soon as they opened. They said not to worry about the vomiting if she seemed OK and kept the water down. Said blood was probably from retching, not uncommon in bull breeds when they vomit (?). Told me to let her have water for now and try a little bit of kibble later, and then bring her in only if she vomited again.
What do you guys think? I would be happy to bring her in to the vet to be sure but maybe I'm overreacting (worried mom thing).

Re: vomited a little bit of blood
Could it be from losing a tooth? Is she teething? Maybe she swallowed a tooth and it made her retch? if that's even possible lol.
Just trying to give you ideas because I know I'd be worried too if it was mine

Re: vomited a little bit of blood
I wouldn't be overly concerned if it were only once. If she is drinking and keeping food down for the next coulple of days no issue. If she vomits blood again or there is more blood than the first time than I'd go to the vet.
Hope she feels better soon.
