Blood in poo
Hi
Just got back from the vet as Gordon has a runny bum!! also quite a lot of blood in it .Any way the vet said that it was an infection and that she had seen around 6 dogs in the past couple of weeks( this is in the Nottingham area) with this problem. Anyway he's been given antibiotics and yeast paste so hopefully that will sort him out. Another symptom of this is that he has just slept a lot. Just to let you know as it was so worrying to see blood in his poo x

Re: Blood in poo
Aw thanks, just wanted to let people know as when you see blood in their poo everything goes through your mind . TBH I was relieved it was just an infection and can be cleared up with antibiotics.

Re: Blood in poo
Laska had colitis a few months back and was pooping clear gel with bright red blood in it. I freaked out at first but she was okay in a couple of days after a food change.
Just like you everything was going through my mind.
