sick again
Really not sure what is wrong with Caley now. She was absolutely fine yesterday back to eating properly and playing, toilet all fine..then I notice she had a bit of a green discharge coming from her lady bits, so I planned for Monday morning to got vets.
Now though, she was fine this morning, ate her brekkie and toilet normal, but over the last few hours she has refused her lunch and started badly shaking and was then sick, I phoned emergency vet and explained everything he asked me if she was drinking and if she has kept that down, which she has, he then said to monitor her and if she is sick a few more times he will need to see her, otherwise bring her first thing tomorrow. Well she has not been sick anymore yet, but I think she has a temperate and have been cooling her with a cloth, she then perked up and started playing but then she went toilet and had diarrohea again, now she is sleeping - do you think this could be related to the green discharge I found...I just want tomorrow morning to get here..

Re: sick again
Aww bless, poor little pup.
I understand how worried you must be, puppies often get an upset tummy but I'm not sure about the green dishcharge.
I would just make sure she is getting fluids because she will dehydrate very quickly if she doesn't drink, keep an eye on her tonight and get her in first thing tomorrow.
Please let us know how you get on at the vets. I hope she feels better soon ><

Re: sick again
If she were mine I wouldn't take any chances and would be straight to the vet.
Green discharge is the sign of an infection and whilst it maybe something minor, it equally might not be.
Don't mean to worry you, it's just what I'd do in your situation.

Re: sick again
Just back from the vets..we could not wait, she took a turn for worse and started being sick and shaking horribly..
Anyway, she does have an infection, but they are not 100% sure if that is also causing the sickness and diarrohea..good news is that she did not have a temperate and was not dehydrated phew...They seem to think that where she was so poorly on Friday with the gravy she had and then with the infection on top of that and they are also not sure if she might have some small parasite as well, her body just could not fight everything.
She had been wormed and had her advocate so not sure how she got parasites until he told me that worming tablets only last 6 hours and her body can then naturally fight anything until her next worming table, but where her stomach is extremely sensitive after everything she is struggling - I never knew that..
So, she had a jab to stop her sickness and she has antibiotics, worming powder to sprinkle on her food, tablets to line her stomach and a pro-kolin liquid that will help get rid of the bad bacteria and restore the good..so fingers crossed that will work. Total cost of £140 - which to be honest I thought was good to what some places charge for out of hours. She is sleeping peacefully now - I feel so sorry for her . Thank you for your best wishes thought

Poor thing, hope she has a speedy recovery
ETA: £140 is good! My emergency vets cost £100 before you even get through the door!
