Re: Harness measure
Standard Harness: Select a harness using the measurement of the girth - the measurement around the dog’s chest just behind the front legs - allowing space for 2 fingers to fit between the harness and the dog’s body for a comfortable fit. When in doubt, order the next larger size.

Re: Harness measure
Yeah Kathy I think she was dreaming of running in the fields chasing me. We do play this game, where she has now learned to walk away from me in the fields while keeping an eye on me till I run, then she runs full blast at me.
Now more advice, her chest is 670 thans allowing for 2 fingers room. As she is approx 20months now, I understand, that they still grow out till they 2, the girth size allows for L is 480 - 840 and the extra large allows for 560 - 970. Would you say I should go for XL? She is a long leggy staffy, I know I need to get pictures up soon as. I dont reckon she will be as broad as some staffies?
Edit to say after reading others, perhaps Large is ok? Thanks for all your replies

Re: Harness measure
Any one able to help me with size? See my post just up.
Taryn, Pixee does have a blue cross harness, but is too small now for her really. I do prefer a harness, whilst she is brillant on heel to walk, does not pull, its when she sees another dog, she will go for it barking, I do have more control over her with the harness, cos I dont have to worry about hurting her neck, and you are able to lift them off their front feet, thus giving you a chance to control your dog more. Same with certain people. And for that reason I feel better, as it works for me.

Re: Harness measure
Pixee is around 17kg, so I am thinking large, cos she is growing out still. Thanks Dave.
Taryn, I did look at those ones too, but since the blue cross also has a wide breastplate, I thought getting one more or less the same would be better. They are strong dogs when they pull, its no wonder you worry about their necks.
