Getting a staffy puppy on fri/sat, any suggestions to help him settle?
Im getting our new puppy fri/sat and he will be just over 7 weeks. I have a crate inwhich I planto crate train him as I already have a parsons terrier, 2yr old and 5month old. I know what your thinking shes crazy lol, but I want the youngest to grow up with a pupp like my 2yr old did and he adores our terrier Lola. Whats the best thing to do to settle him for his first few nights, I expect him to cry but when Lola did this she slept next to our bed on her dogbed but this time I don't want to give in but not be mean! I have bought hima lovely comfy bed, toys and was thinking of giving him a stuffed animal to snuggle up to? Any tips and advice would be great please? Also did you guys let your pups in the garden before jabs? Aslong as no other dog other then your own has been in there? Thanks
Ill add pics later

Congrats
I don't think your crazy at all, staffys are great with kids if brought up well
Just give her some toys and some love she'll be fine. They're gonna cry on their first few nights but they get over it

Could you take a blanket to the breeders and ask them to put it with mum so it gets all smelly then pick it up with your pup and put it in his bed, maybe wrapped round a hot water bottle so he's got something that smells familiar?

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Your not mad at all. i think he will be fine in his own little bed as long as he knows where you are. Try to leave a radio on for him as a background noise. We put one of my hubbys old jumpers in Rockys bed for him to snuggle up with.

Hi and welcome from us and Suki. An old blanket or something with her mom or litter mates smell on it would be helpfull. Cover the crate with a blanket as well and a radio left on a very low volume will also help out
