puppys/fleas!
hello there, we are due to pick up our new stafford puppy in 2/3 weeks and we are really excited!
we went to visit and pay our deposit about 2 weeks ago, he was about 4 weeks old then, and as i was handling him i noticed he had quite a few fleas on him
the breeder has assured me that he will be flea treated before we get him, but i am just worried as i dont want to bring fleas into our house! is it normal for a litter to get fleas at such a young age?
with our last stafford we rescued her and we never had a problem with fleas. if he is flea treated is there any chance he could still bring in eggs?
we are so excited about getting him and the last thing we want is to be dealing with a flea situation when we should be enjoying our new puppy!

Excited for you all too, bet you can't wait. Best to check with your vet, I would have them do a checkup so you know your pup is healthy from the start. Not all over the counter and adult flea treatments are suitable for pups. There's still the old fashioned flea comb and squashing method. Pup might enjoy the grooming, good luck.
