Lola is estimated to be around 3 yrs old. We've had her for 4 weeks now she was 15 kilos when we rescued her & is now 18 kilos so shes put on 3 lbs.

She wasnt skinny when we got her & looks healthy.

I dont think Ive spoilt her but its possible ive over fed her as shes feed morning & night around 150g of complete food but she was also given a third of meat as thats what she was fed at the shelter & we wanted to wean her of rather than complety take her off.. Treats.. she does get treats lol

shes sitting here chomping on her 12" rawhide bone as I type but she gets 1 of these a week. A pigsear on saturday s & a dentastick a day... Plus little tip bits when training. Not many though.

I didnt think this was too much until we weighed her yesterday & people accused me of making my dog fat.

Does she look fat?

I never go on whats specified I go on look of the dog. I like to able to feel Moo's rib but not see them. She weighs about 19kg but she goes between 19 and 21, there isn't any fat on her.

I don't really feed treats but thats my choice. As long as Lola is fit and healthy just ignore what others say Smile

You should be able to feel the ribs but not really see them. i would usually go by eye and by the guideline weight on the food packaging and judge for myself.

She doesnt look fat at all ..I never noticed she had gained weight until others said & its only as she gain 3lbs in a few weeks made me think I might be over feeding...

But I can see her ribs slightly when she stands so shes entitled to a treat or too lol

Denta sticks i didnt really think of as a treat as I was just wanting to keep her teeth healthy but if she enjoys them I guess its a treat ..
Ill cut her down to every other day rather than 1 a day lol

Thanks for replying xx
