Mias weigh in
Took Mia for a weigh in this morning. She is 7 months old, weighs 19.9 kg and is 19 inches at the withers. Does this sound about right to you as I am getting a few comments she is big for her age.

Re: Mias weigh in
She is big but they come in all shapes and sizes. Logan is bigger than a lot of Staffords I see.
As long as she is neither over/underweight everything's good in my opinion

Erm yeah she is a big girl.
Ours are:
Molly Bitch 2 and 1/2yrs old - 13" and 14kg
Duke Dog 1 and 1/2 yrs old - 16" 23kg
Do you know if she is a cross? If so that explains it, that height and weight IMO tells me she is not pure staff 19" is on the large side for an American Pitbull bitch let alone a staffy bitch.
One of my mates has an American Bull Dog which has very similar looks to a massive Staffy though, is it possible she is Staffy crossed with something like American bull dog?

Ahright, so as you say who knows.
As long as your happy and have a healthy dog what does it really matter.

Re: Mias weigh in
im going through this at the moment, i know tyke if way over weight but i do not have an ideal weight at the moment as he is mixed so he is larger than your average staff. What i would advise is make sure your feeding correctly (we have cut all * bits out) and that she is getting her exerciser which i presume you already do

I don't mind you asking at all
Logan is nearly 15 months. He is 17 inches tall to the shoulder and weighs about 22kg, maybe slightly less atm because we've been doing a lot of exercise together lately!

Re: Mias weigh in
Oh he is prettyyyy darn big then! My girls 20 and a half inches to the shoulder but only weighs 19.7kg - her chest isn't very broad when she's standing either so she's quite a gangly looking pooch at the moment! She's registered at the vets as full staff but I've had lots of comments that she looks like she's got other mix of dogs in her so I don't think she's ever going to really fill out properly like Logan. I must say from your picture his muscle definition is real nice!

Thanks a lot!
They all grow at different rates and Logan was very tall and thin at one point, but they do change. The main point is to just make sure they are a comfortable weight so they can enjoy themselves. Meeting the standard isn't a necessity, more important that the dogs are healthy/happy

Re: Mias weigh in
I completely agree with you! I'm not really bothered about her bulking up like most staffs, I think she's perfect how she is I think that's what's so wonderful about the breed though, the range of sizes and colours is wonderful but really, Logan is a real stunner!
