Re: Do you weigh your dog frequently?
I rarely weigh Dempsey except for worming or other vets treatment. As long as I can feel his ribs & he's fit & active I'm not bothered about weight.

fao blaze666 memphis is weighing at the moment at 7.8kg at 13weeks and he was 2.8kg when i got him at 7weeks you can see him growing lol and i dont think there is a standard weight as they vary in size so much

yea i think your right about not being a standard weight i think as long as they have got a nice tuck up and you can feel there ribs easily without seeing them and they have a nice shiney coat thats everyone needs to worry about. Kaos was 10.2 at 14 weeks but to be fair although i saw both his parents being a rescue without papers he has quite a high likelyhood of being crossed with something at some point. I thought Ty was also crossed to start with but he's 1 at the end of the month and has finaly started filling out and he is looking soooo good for it...he's turning into a really nice looking staffie (for a rescue) even if i do say so myself!! He was 17.9 a week or so ago x

Re: Do you weigh your dog frequently?
Yes, I think weights can be very misleading. If you have a terrier-type dog that weighs the same as a bully-type dog, then one of them has a problem!!!
It's even more difficult with Bull Terriers, as there's no height guidelines either, so you not only have to look at body type, but height as well!

I think he probably is a cross
But not 100% sure as there are so many different shapes and size staffs
Type in irish blue staff in google images and they all look like him so not too sure if he is crossed or not
I didn't think he was that heavy until I just got him some new food and wanted to know his weight so I knew how much im working my way up to giving him.

Rocco and Dixie get weighed for worming every 3 months and when they have their anual booster.
Deano is being weighed every week now, just so I can keep track of his progress. Since coming home from the vets, he has put on a KG in 7 days! lol

Only when they go to vets do they get weighed. Emily is a bit chubby at 17kg so she's on a bit of a diet.
