Looking for a Rescue

Hi all

After many discussions with the family we have decided we want to get Tilly a playmate and we will only consider a rescue. Like another pup for the history but if we find an older dog (up to 3 max) we will give a lot of consideration.
Got to be good with children of all ages (my wife is a childminder) and obviously other dogs , we have started putting feelers out but please contact me if you know of a dog already , Tilly isn't neutered yet so if we found an older male it could be up to 5 months before we could take him in permanently. Not snobs but we are really looking for a Staffy and not a xbreed to try and keep with the lovely temperament that so many idiots don't realise these dogs have.

Thanks Steve , will make a few calls , sorry about the extra information , just want to make sure that a dog doesnt miss out as I dont always come to the forum every day

Thanks , it may be a long search but sure we will get there in the end, thought about placing an ad for a "couch and bed dwelling beast that chews up gates when consigned to the garden and loves jumping up at passers by when their paws are dirty shortly after gaining affection by lying on back for a tummy tickle" but thought I was maybe being a bit too selective

Great description and great on rescuing (wouldn't have it any other my self) do keep us updated with your progress
