Poorly Boy (update)

looks like its the season for all doggie to get poorly.

Took Lemmy out last night and to say he has the runs is an understatement more like coloured water. He hasnt eaten at all today so far and his walk this morning was not very enthusiastic. Had to bath him cos he didnt get to quite position himself right before his bowels let go so he is now curled up in bed with his jumper on cos he's rather cold as well. Lottie is rather attentive to him and has curled up with him so the extra heat from her will warm him up too. She keeps sniffing him too I dont know if his jumper she is rather taken with or if she can smell that he is not well. She has been mothering him more than usual the last couple of days. Will starve him for the rest of today and try him with something light tomorrow he has probably just got a chill or soemthing.

Gave Lottie a bath too cos her walk consisted of the muddy puddles on the field so she was rather muddy. She loves the bath now jumps right in when you tell her and sits nice while you give her a wash. She makes all kinds of noises when she gets her chin and neck washed. Sticks her nose in the air for you get in there a bit better.[right]

Oh Lemmy, get well soon. It's no fun for mum or Lottie when you're sick! ><

Oh no Julie, sorry to hear our boy is not well. Hope he gets beeter soon and bless Lottie for her attention.

Awww poor lemmi!! Get well soon!! ., i remember when skye had a bad tum like that! Her poop was just water n she was sick i was so worried but she was back to normal the next day! They dont half worry us

was standing chopping veg for tea (stew takes hours) and i thought i could hear alittle cry which i presumed must be lottie cos she doesnt cry loudly just a whimper. looked round at the dogs beds and there was lemmy whimpering and lottie just stould looking at him. he had messed the bed. no dog does this unless it can help it so rang the vet and told them i was on my way. just had him checked and he is now on antibiotics for a gastro bug. got to keep him warm. gemma got him back in the bath and is now sat on the couch with him wrapped up till he's dried off. Lottie keeps getting up and looking at him then licks his head and goes and lies down then is back again a few minutes later. she must sense soemthing isnt right with him. got the back door open for the smell and the washer going with the bedding in it

Poor little boy I hope he is better soon. Don't forget to get him to drink plenty so that he doesn't become dehydrated, and don't want to jinx you but if it is a bug Lotty could catch it too. We have had a 24 hour bug going round dogs in this area for a few weeks and my friend was the 7th to visit the Vets with hers in one morning surgery.

Think there must be sometihnk going around that dogs are picking up, my dogs have had and alot of other people i know there dogs are getting it...

Bless Lottie for being so loving with him. Try burning some newspaper in a container to remove the odour.

Aw I hope he's better soon. Milo had it a few weeks back and it was horrid but over very fast x

well had a restless night but he went out in the garden for awee this morning under his own steam so at least he's back on his feet. still sleepy though
