Why has she sudendly started peeing inside?!?!
Lola peed once in the house the day we got her and she was told no and she didn't do it since.
But the past 5 mornings my husband has gone downstairs and she's peed on the carpet.
Its mostly in the same spots. She's gone 12hours overnight before and been fine so its not that.
Why has she suddendly started doing this?!?
Nothing has changed... she still gets fed at the same time, same walk lengths and times.
We did have a visitor dog in but she didn't do anything in the house.
Any suggestions to get her to stop??
We live in rented accommodation and I really dont want to have to replace the carpets!! lol
Thanks!! xxxxxxx

We use a wee pad just in case. Suki won't use it often but at least if she goes is easy to clean up and doesn't leave a mess.

Check to make sure the carpet cleaner doesn't contain amonia - to a dog it smells like pee & will encourage her to go there again. A good & inexpensive cleaner is a solution of biological washing powder.
When you say you had a visitor dog, was she happy that the dog was there?

Oh ok, i'll check the bottle.
She only ever does it overnight when no one is around.
Er...hard to say, it was the first time they had met.

She could be trying to re-mark her territory. If that's the case, then with careful cleaning it should stop fairly soon.

the ingredients say...
'Vax cleaner contains amongst other ing: Less than 5% anionic surfactants, nonionic sufactants, polycarboxylates, phosphate, anti-allergen additive, presertative & Perfume
According to my husband bitches don't mark territory...

So do I stay up overnight with her and take her out when she tries to pee or?? Cause she pees overnight and it only started 5 days ago!!

Oh, yes they do! They just don't lift their legs to do it! Watch her next time you take her over the park. Does she do one big, long wee, or lots of little ones? She's marking her territory. Ok, not as much as males, but they still do it.
Re: the cleaner. Could be the perfume or the preservative? Try the biological washing powder solution & see if it makes a difference. It doesn't have to be one of the expensive ones, any will do.

No, I'd keep cleaning the areas & hopefully she'll grow out of it. Make sure she has a chance to empty her bladder just before you go to bed, though.

She gets out last thing at night and she's out first thing in the morning.
She usually does a big big wee then a little one on the way home.
So If I crumble a fairy washing powder tablet and then hoover it up that should help??? xxxx

Not Fairy, I don't think that's biological?

She gets a long 30-45min walk in the morning, a 15min walk at 5pm and a 20-30min walk at bedtime.

I don't think it's lack of excercise. I honestly think it's due to your visitor! She's been well & truly put out & she's making sure it's her home again!
