Just getting it off my chest...
This is a bit of a whinge... but, the other day, my husband and I took Vlad for his evening walk. Around the corner from us were a couple of kids in early teens playing on their bikes. My husband was holding the lead. One of these brats rode right up to Vlad... almost at his nose, stopped and skidded the bike, just missing his poor little face with the back wheel. We couldn't believe this kid was prepared to deliberately try and upset a puppy! Vlad, backed right off and walked behind my husband, kind of cowering until we were a few metres past. We have been trying our best to make sure he has manners around people and other animals, yet it seems that some humans can't even get these basics right GRRRRRRRRRRR

I don't condone violence, but next time you see them a little kick to the wheel maybe in order, or just enjoyable. Accidents happen! Xx

LOL. It's just a shame, because all Vlad does is get excited because he loves people and other animals. We don't want him to grow scared, because that could create a whole bag of issues! His little face and ears just dropped when it happened. It was awful. We were just trying to brush it off so Vlad wouldn't think it was a big deal and to let him think we didn't see it as a big deal. But we did. My husband was swearing when we arrived home! Your idea is awesome, though LOL... I wouldn't, but I would think of it and giggle

It made me angry reading it. Some people are so thick or thoughtless. In you case both.

There is a teenage mutant near me that thinks its fun to try to frighten dogs by bouncing a football directly behind them.

Some people just forget to turn their brains on when they get up in the morning.......
Seriously can't understand how they find things like this enjoyable or entertaining.
Poor Vlad .................... hugs from me ><

there are a ot of teenage and younger mutants about because their parents were teenage mutants when they had them. no one knows how to teach their kids basic manners they just let them run riot like apack of animals. infact animals behave better. it is maddening though cos you can guarentee a lot of these idiots will have dogs at home so god knows how they treat them.

We had a similar experience the other day, though our culprits were just a bit thoughtless not like yours that were deliberately mean!
Dora hasn't been walking very long and is still very small and a bit timid and when we got to the park there were some kids playing with a remote control car by the entrance to the park.
We were obviously trying to encourage Dora to a) not be frightened of the whizzy buzzy car b) not chase it and and c) walk calmly off to the side, past the kids and car and into the park.
Stupid kids were oblivious and kept getting the car really close to us. Felt like shouting at them! Idiots! They had plenty of space to the other side. Feels like everyone is against you sometimes!
I hope Vlad is ok ><

Re: Just getting it off my chest...
There are lots of horrible little children about. One in particular likes to ride his bike around Violet, and just generally noise her up. He makes 'beep'y noises at her and whistles. Violet then tugs on her lead really hard and I have to haul her back. So one day I let her extending leash go a bit, and she zoomed right at him - the pest ran away so quickly he forgot to take his bike with him...

Re: Just getting it off my chest...
Unfortunately at the time we were both too shocked! I mean this kids rode straight at us quite fast and then did what he did! We were more concerned about keeping Vlad calm as he was obviously upset and scared. There are just so many thoughtless people around.
