Re: COUGH??
Kennel Cough. What a pain in the backside it is!
It's certainly treatable, but it sometimes takes a couple of days for the meds to start making a difference. It's highly contagious, so try to keep him away from other dogs for a couple of weeks.
Good luck at the vets tomorrow!

Re: COUGH??
Yep, definitely sounds like Kennel cough.
As everybody above has said....take him to the vets where he will be given medication to help clear things up. As Caryll said, it is highly contagious and he needs to be kept in ( no walks ) and away from other dogs until it has cleared up which could take a couple of weeks.
Even if he is fully vaccinated against kennel cough, he could still pick it up. There are different strains of it, much like the human flu.....you can get a vaccination but it does'nt neccesarilly cover all strains.
Good luck at the Vet, and let us know how you get on.

Re: COUGH??
just back.... had to stand outside for almost an hour so not to pass it on to any other doggys and it was nippy cold lol, i gave tyson an antibiotic last night that he had from a previous issue, told the vet this and i thought she was going to roundhouse kick me in the face but he hasn't been coughing at all today so she said its too hard to tell if its kennel cough but she gave him 2 injections an antibiotic(same as what i gave him in tablet form) and an anti inflamitory as he had a very high temp and told me there could be a possibilty of him eating somthin that could have damaged his throat hence the coughing but hes been eating fine so it was just a precaution just to try keep him resting and to only give him small meals about the size of your palm, scrambled egg, boiled chicken or fish..

Re: COUGH??
I would not go around becasue kennel cough it a pain in the backside & your dog will have to stay in for atleast 2 weeks if they get it.
