Kennel cough
After a few days of my boy been under the weather, woke up this mornin to him retching and bringing up something foamy. He'd been doing it all day so rang the vet and they've given him some antibiotics for kennel cough.
Over the past couple of hours his retching seems to have got worse. He's moving from cage to bed to settee to carpet, he just can't get comfy and is giving me those sad Staffy eyes! :-<
Apart from extra cuddles is there anything else I can do to make him more comfortable and ease the retching. Not sure when the antibiotics will kick in?!

Re: Kennel cough
Nothing else, I'm afraid. Not that I know of, anyway. Hopefully someone else will come on soon with some tips.

Re: Kennel cough
I think it must depend on the strain of virus that they get. Some seem to get it really bad & they get quite distressed, but others just get a mild form & get over it quite quickly.

Re: Kennel cough
they had 2 lot of pills i dont think they ever recover it becasue they still cough now and then
Re: Kennel cough
Trouble is, it's a virus, and the body never really gets rid of a virus - your body just learns to deal with it.
