What dry do you feed?
Im always looking at different foods to get my girls the best nutrition for the best price. I have tried harringtons, symply, arden grange, pedigree etc etc, but im now using aukarty salmon dinner, high meat content and no fillers. This is new so i cant say how good it is yet.
So what do you feed? What do you find best? x

Re: What dry do you feed?
I use fish 4 dogs salmon and potato working dog complete for Molly and the fish 4 dogs fish and potato puppy complete for Duke.
We used to use James Wellbeloved Fish and Rice and it was good although we wanted to make sure it was not the rice causing allergy issues with Molly so switched over to Fish 4 Dogs and think its better anyway. Plus we get all our treats from there to so just makes sence to get it all from the same place really.
Though Orijen is supposed to be one of the best dry foods you can by according to alot of different reveiws from different sources.
This site is quite good for getting info about dry food.

I feed raw, but if I fed dry I'd choose one without grains/cereals or poultry.

I liked f4d when i tried it but found it quite expensive to feed.
Orijen left my girls constantly hungry and quite hyper.

Id love to feed raw but i just cant get my head round it. Thats what i look for in food, one of my girls has a v sensitive stomach so i try to avoid grains and poultry fat too. Autarky only has a small amount of maize.

I also tried preo SBT but it has a lot of grains which i find gives them a dodgy belly.
Would like to try skinners f&t too. has good reviews. x

Re: What dry do you feed?
Yeah £57 for 15kg is quite alot compared to other brands but because we also buy the puppy food and cat food and all the treats from there spend alot and get big discounts. We get fish swirls, salmon mousse, fish jerky, salmon oil. Also when they have the special offers on they tend to be really good, had the fish swirls offer a couple of times where you buy 1 box get 1 box free, same with the salmon mousse.
Normally spend over £100 on any orders I make so get 15% discount, plus any puppy club discount, so the £57 for the 15kg is then only £48.50 which is more reasonable.
The puppy food is normally £62.50 but we get it for £49 because of the puppy club, then minus another 15% discount for bulk order which makes it £41.65.
So for a 15kg bag of puppy food and 15kg bag of salmon working complete it works out to £90.10. The fish one is slightly cheaper than the Salmon one aswell so could knock it down a few £ more if need be.
Most brands are between £40-£50 for 15kg so its not to bad if your buying in bulk but standard prices are very high, they reasently went up, we were getting better prices 4 months ago.

Re: What dry do you feed?
Rocky was on Burgess Sensitive when he was at the rescue centre so we carried on with that for a while.
He then stopped eating this so we then chose James Wellbeloved after trying a few samples.
He is thriving on this. He has 120g plus 80 - 100g of lean chicken per day. This does not work out as expensive as the price of JWB first appears, as you don't need a lot.
We feed him all the different flavours and his two favourites are the duck and fish.

Re: What dry do you feed?
Moo is also on JWB, after swapping from Royal Canin, she got bored of just one flavour so I have three and mix it up for her, she generally loves it
