Change In Behaviour and Appetite
I am hoping someone can gave me some advice please. My Boy lennox is 17 months old now and I have had him since he was 6 weeks old. I changed his food last month as I was made redundant so went to a cheapper brand. I was using Bakers, about £3 per box and he can easily do one of them in 2 days. This cheap stuff he has been eating doesnt seem to have anything in it and after he been eating it for about a week, he know gone off food, including the food that i eat which he would normally goobble up no problem. More alarmingley he has also stopped drinking water and he is coughing up flem maybe 2/3 times day, its left him quite weak and doesnt pull on his lead anymore...any advice please??????

Re: Change In Behaviour and Appetite
Firstly, welcome to the forum.
I doubt that it's the new food that's causing the upset, as you'd have noticed something a lot sooner. It sounds, to be honest, as though your poor boy has a stomach virus. Unfortunately if this is the case, only your vet will be able to help. As he's stopped drinking water, a visit to the vets sooner rather than later is in order. Dogs can dehydrate really quickly and that can make them very ill indeed.
On a different subject, I wouldn't recommend Bakers anyway, because it's full of added colours etc which aren't good for your boy. I'd go for one of the other brands without added colours/preservatives etc, although I know they're not all that cheap.
Let us know how your boy gets on, won't you?

Hi,
Sorry to hear about you been made redundant.
Personally i would get him checked at the vets,
Coughing up phlegm can be a sign of kennel cough. Is he coughing or sounds like he has something stuck in his throat?
sending Lennox lots of hugs and hope he is feeling better asap.
