Play biting?
Is there a way to stop this play biting as sometime Dexter can get carries away and when you tell him off it looks like he's taken 2 redbulls lolololol

Re: Play biting?
The way I've always done it, is as soon as he starts to nip/play bite I say a long, low "Nooo!" and turn away. Stop all interraction - no touching, no talking, don't even look at him. When he's calm, give some quiet praise. It's a normal & natural thing for a pup to do, so it might take a few repetitions for him to understand he can't do it with humans, but he'll get there. Everyone in the family should do the same thing, though.
Those needle sharp teeth really do hurt, don't they?

What Caryll said is the right thing. You have to be consistant..Dexter will soon learn.... My hands were covered in scars for a while from Winston! Trust me he knows what the word NO means now!

If you had seen my arms when Harry was young you would have thought I was self harming. Thought he would never stop but one day I suddenly realised the penny had dropped and he had learned. Thank goodness

Re: Play biting?
It's very important for everyone in the house to do this. He won't understand that it's okay to do to one person and not the other. Also your friends have to do this as well if they are around him.
