The Color Thread
I just knew that one was going to deteriorate quickly! I was in the middle of writing up my response (which I'm sure would have ruffled a few feathers ) when I hit preview and discovered I was too late. I don't know what it is about discussions of color that gets my blood boiling!
In conclusion, Can't we all just get along? ><

Re: The Color Thread
Lol, it was a nice civilised debate! All I did was question your judgement. Did you not see that program a couple of years ago (not too sure think it was on ITV) where they tried to see how easy it would be to get a purebred pitbull into the UK under the guise of it being a different breed? I remember now it was Holland they got it from not Switzerland!

Re: The Color Thread
No, didn't see that!
But I still say that if you buy from a reputable breeder you'll get what you pay for.
Was that what all the fuss is about?

Re: The Color Thread
Not sure cuz i didnt look at it for over an hour but the OP was saying he had a red stafford byt someone told him it might be a pit because that was a common colour in pitbulls! anyway the conversation went on an Steve was saying that its virtually impossible to get a 'real' pitbull in the UK because of the dangerous dogs act. All I said was that I knew they were being imported into the UK as staff crosses and lab crosses though they came from reputable breeders abroad. I know because I know people who have, also I watched the afore-mentioned documentary!
I went to lunch, came back and the thread was gone though I don't know what was posted there since I left at 2.30pm

Your supposed to be top-mod though people are meant to be able to ask what they want and seek advice! Its not really a case of picking a choosing which topics you like is it? Well what ever your top-dog so to speak...

Re: The Color Thread
i was the op! and i am new on here so i think that was a bit harsh. i thought the point of a moderator was to make sure that posts are not offensive, not to pick and choose what they want to read! i was simply asking about how common red staffies are compared to pitbulls!!!!

Re: The Color Thread
Red staffords are pretty common, though black and bridnel are more-so. Have you got a picture of your dog? Upload one to your avatar (from your profile) then people will tell you what they think your dog is. The red-nose pitbulls are a liver colour that, although uncommon in staffords can crop up (see post in this sub-forum about called 'Liver staff' or something similar. It is a dilute of red which is why you get pinkish membranes (eyelids, nose, gums).
