Confused Suki
This is a weird week at work for me. I'm doing about a 14-15 day and working mostly at night. So it's completely opposite of the routine Suki is used to and she is soooo confused. Last night I got off work at about 2AM and when I opened the front door she started to growl from the bedroom. When I got close enough to see she was standing over the OH with her hackles fully raised and looked quite intimidating. Once she realised it was me she leapt off of the bed and gave me a very excited hello.
Right now she is walking back and forth between the bedroom and living room and deciding who she wants to spend time with. I feel bad because I know how much dogs love routines and this is not a good week for that. I'll be able to be home by 1030PM or so next week before getting back to a normal routine so it will be a little better.

We have the same problem i work the same shifts everyweek but my OH with working in a casino works every hour of the day and although harv is used to it now, he still gets a bit confused when he comes in in the early hours of the morning, he does the same thing he stands over me in bed and my OH can hear him growling from downstairs, he stops as soon as he sees who it is though

Bless Suki protedting your Mrs Jstaff! When I was in the pub trade my hours where different all the time. Sometimes home at 3am, starting at 10am, home at 8pm, starting at 3pm, but I suppose cause its just me and her, she fell into the routine too. Don't worry its not for long and she'll settle, she has double love if she wants it! Xx

I bet she was asleep and you woke and startled her. It's so good to know that she would protect you if someone did break in!

So true. She is sleeping quietly now but has been back and forth the whole night. She does seem like a good protector though she actaully had me a bit nervous until I knew she recognized me.
