just got back from axl's 1st class and it was really great the best puppy class ive been to the 1st week is £11 and its £6 there after. i was not looking to forward to the class at 1st as the ones ive been to were very boring and it was a quick 30min class then they cant wait to get you out. this was nothing like that the class started at 7.15 and finished at just gone 8.30.
1st this they had us do was take the pups off there lead to have a sniff and a play then it was back on the lead and we did heel work which lil axl hates he perfers to try and drag me along but im sure we will pick it up then we done sitting and down work and a bit of mat training then it was off the lead play time again was axl was playing with a beautiful collie. then it was bk on lead and we did some agility work i was a bit nervous at 1st as it all looked a bit high bit axl really loved it his lil tail was well wagging as he ran up the A frames and then he went on the dog walk and he loved that to they all had 3 goes on that then it was home time with one very tired pup.
axl done really well and i was proud.

only bad note of the evening was a nasty comment a lady with a tiny chihuahua x dog whos not a puppy but to small for the normal classes, axl was trying to play nicely with her little dog as i heard her say to her husband "out of all the pups he could play with he has to pick a bloody staffy" and then it was her dog who later on was biting axl hard on the leg and would let go when poor axl was sitting like a good boy by my side.

am getting a bit sick of the snide comments i keep getting about axl being a staff when his a better behaved boy then most dogs we see so next comment i get im goin to let them have it.

sorry about the long post lol was just excited about his 1st class Big Grin

Yeah we Just Joined puppy obdience training classes, But we pay £30 for a 10 week course, And £2 membership for a whole year, Which I think Is great offer, Then you can go onto Intermediate then you pass and go onto advanced obdience training, And the Intermediate Is only £2 a session for 30 mins same with advanced, No time limit the trainers pass you when they think your dogs ready go onto the next level, You do learn alot from puppy training, A friend mine took hes dog, Who didnt listen at all to commands, Once he finished all the levels of training, He was the most obdient god you ever met, So Its what made me Join this club, People you dont go to puppy training dont know what there missing out on, Yes you can train your own puppy, But you will never get out of It as much, As having professional help, And the Ideas you learn off other people, Asking questions as well to the trainers, Brilliant stuff I say.

Glad you had such a good time! Just two weeks now until our course begins. It's seven weeks, but the first session is theory. I'm really looking forward to it!

Ahh your training sounds abit better advanced, I guess In this world you get what you pay for, Ours you pay £30 for 10 week puppy obdience training classes, And £2 for membership for rest of the year, But there no theory, Then after you have finished the begginers 10 week course, You go onto Intermediate but thers no time scale the Instructors pass you when they know your dogs ready to go onto the advanced obdience training, Intermediate And Advanced you pay £2 a session, And you can finish the 10 week begginers class, And you dont have to go onto the others 2 levels of more advanced training, The training school lasts for 30 mins sessions, Because there puppies and Instructors says sometimes out of a 30 min training session, You can only get 5 mins of attention off your pup, Think really good because taking puppies to these classes helps with training the puppy with distractions, Cause we all know puppies can be brilliant one to one, But where theres distractions the dogs off, But good luck yours sounds abit more better than mine, Because you have the theory, Our club must be good as well because Its regulated by the Kennel Club, Once again good luck, Keep us updated Smile .

Glad that you and your boy enjoyed your first class.

Puppy classes are fantastic......you get to learn the basics, pup gets to socialise etc......

Keep up the good work Axl, and show those doubters what a beautiful boy you are.
