Bitch hasn’t come into season yet …. Help
Hi guys , my bitch hasn’t yet come into season and she’s a week away from being 12 months , I’m concerned that she hasn’t yet come into season as all her sisters have already had their first , I know all staffs are different , I’m just concerned for her if there’s some potential health issues . I won’t be breeding her anyways so not a big deal just worried if there’s something going on.
Any thoughts ?

Hi & welcome.
You're right, they're all so different & although 12 months is a little unusual, it isn't unheard of. A bitch can also go through a 'silent' heat & show none of the usual signs of season, although dogs would still be interested in her.
She'll be due her vaccinations in a few weeks, so if she hasn't come into season by then have a chat with your vet. They can take blood samples to see if she has the right amount of hormones present.
I take it she's growing well & is in good health otherwise?

Thanks for your reply ! , good to hear , yes she’s due her vaccines soon , so will get the vets to check her over .
She’s growing great and is in good health otherwise, so hopefully this is nothing to worry about and her time will come ! Or perhaps it’s a secret season and she has already had it .
