Tooth problem....Puppy hasn't lost a major tooth?
Hi, I've just noticed Wrigley has a dodgey tooth, at six months old. I wonder if he didn't lose it as a baby tooth and a new adult one has grown beside it? Will it fall out soon enough or should I be concerned? It's hideous.

Are you able to pop along to your vet so they can take a look to make sure all is OK ?
Do you have a photo of the tooth ?

It's the big main one in case the photo isn't obvious. I felt it last night, it wiggles like it is loose but I doubt I can pull it out. He didn't act like it was bothering him when I was wiggling it.

Kuchar had a retained baby tooth too, which wasn't pushed out by the adult tooth.
In his case the tooth came out through chewing on a rawhide chew, which I know not everyone agrees with. It could be that playing with a rope tugger or similar would fetch the tooth out.
But tbh that tooth doesn't very healthy and I would be inclined to get the vet to have a look at it.
Do let us know how you and Wrigley progress

I'd let the vet have a look.
Can you wriggle it around?

Yeah, it wriggles a bit so it is loose but not enough for me to attempt to pull it out (yet!). Might try the tug of war idea tonight if he is keen, we were playing tug yesterday a fair bit, I doubt he'd do that if it was hurting him as he is not obsessive about it. I think I will hold off on the vet for a couple days (unless something changes).

The gum looks a bit inflammed to me too, I would pop along to the vet to get it checked. Please let us know how you get on.

I think we are going to try to pull it out tonight (if it hasn't fallen out by then). But if it doesn't come easily the vet is definitely on the agenda.

Happy Update: the tooth is gone, fell out on its own sometime yesterday. So nature just took it's course. It started to get really loose so we just kept an eye on the situation but it never seemed infected or to be hurting him.

That's a relief, nature usually has a way of sorting things out
