Swollen hock joint
Anyone got a staffy with with a swollen hock joint? I took him to the vet 8’weeks ago for X-rays and was told it was arthritis. Seams to have gotten bigger in 8 weeks. He has lost 3kgs though due to diet and I wonder if it’s more noticeable due to the weight loss

Re: Swollen hock joint
Hi & welcome.
Did the vet give you anything for the arthritis, or suggest anything? They usually prescribe an anti inflammatory & suggest a supplement?
You tend to not get too much weight on legs, so I shouldn't think the weight loss is making it look bigger.
Can you get a second opinion?

Thanks for your response I think I will… the VET did take a biopsy of the lump aswell and X-rays so I believe he was thorough.. but it’s doing my head in with worry, my wife doesn’t think the lumps gotten bigger maybe I’m just paranoid.
