New puppy and bonfire night
Hi All,
New here, and we have just bought a sweet little blue and white long-legged staffy bitch🥰
She’s ready to come home 2nd November… I’m not sure what will be best regarding bonfire night. Do we bring her home on the 2nd and have her with us over the bonfire week/night or will she be better to stay with her Mam a little longer until after bonfire weekend?

Re: New puppy and bonfire night
Hello and welcome.
What a little sweetie , have you found a name for your girl ?
With regards to your question, I think you need to consider the environment on both sides, you and the breeder.
If you live in the town center but the breeder is in a small country village, leave with breeder.
If you live in a quiet area and breeder has tens of barking dogs in kennels, bring her home.
If she’s with you for bonfire night, I would just suggest being careful that your behaviour to reassure her does not have the adverse affects. There’s a very fine line between reassuring/protecting her and validating her reason to be worried and fearful …
Do you already have another dog at home ?
Have you already had a dog/staffy in the past ?
