strange walking habit
Hi all
Chester is 5 months old and is a really good little walker on the lead, he generally walks to heel on mt left hand side.
Over the last week he has developed a strange habit. if I walk him past a car with him on my left and the car on his left he is absolutely fine, but if I walk with him on my left and the car is on my right for some reason he walks sideways.
Has anyone come across anything like this , and if so what is the best way to cure the problem.
Thanks
Paul

Re: strange walking habit
Hi there & welcome.
I would think that your boy is worried that the car is dangerous to you! Keep trying to encourage as you walk past a car on your right & offer treats as you go. If you stay calm, your pup will pick up on that.
Also, remember that 5 months is still a puppy & EVERYTHING is either interesting or a threat!

Re: strange walking habit
Hi Caryll
Thanks for your reply,
Thats pretty much what I have been doing, looks like I have just got to stick with it and hope he picks up on the fact that its not a threat.
Regards
Paul
