Constant cleaning of the garden as soon as she does anything , we have had this problem with Tilly when one of our nice neighbours has let their dog do one on our front lawn, but never normally her own If you see her doi it then a good firm no !! possibly followed by a treat so she realises there are better tasting things in life. It is really gross , especially when I saw Tilly do it , lets just say Staffy kisses were off the menu for a day or 2 Laughing

Apparently, if you give them some pineapple to eat, it makes their poo taste bad ( sick like it doesn't anyway!) and they stop eating it. Not tried it myself, I've always made sure I'm close enough to yell "Leave it!" Laughing

We tried the Pineapple and it did work. Jimi did this all the time when we first got him and continued for a few months after that. We got the Pineapple and put small amounts in his food.

I would always follow him around and make sure he didn't eat it lol. He's since grown out of it though.

Meat tenderizer sprinkled on their food also can help. Pineapple does do the trick as well. I've heard raw pumpkin helps but never tried it. It is a nasty habit but it can be corrected with time and patience. Still sick

Are you rushing over to pick the poo up? she may be getting to it first because you 'want it'... yuk.

Dora only tends to eat other dogs poo. It has made her poorly a couple of times. I have to keep an eye on her cos she normally spots it first. Some people aren't very good at picking up round here. Makes me cross.

Mia was really bad for this, we tried pepper and other things to make it taste nasty and she still ate it, think she thought we were seasoning it for her!!
Anyway with much perseverance she is finally stopping this!
we took her out on a lead everytime she needed to go and then give a gentle tug as soon as she is finished to distract her away from eating it, most of the time she can be trusted now but my hubby did catch her playing with a cat sh*t the other week!!
