Re: newbie
All we know is that his owner passed and the family of the owner couldn't care for him.
He has barked once. He has never barked at people or animals on walks, he just wants to sniff everyone.
He refused to get on any furniture for 2 days until he realized he was aloud on when told to come up.
He doesn't jump on people or the kids.
He listens well if he is told no after he has grabed one of the kids stuffed animals and won't fight to get it back.
He loves to just be loved on.
He does pull on the leash while walking and seems to itch and sneeze. Also doesn't care a lot about his food or treats.

Hi, and welcome to the forum from me and the doggos
Rocko is gorgeous, rescues are the best breed! He sounds like a delight, looks like he's been trained well, bonus! How old is he?
Do you walk Rocko on a collar or harness?
Itching and sneezing are the common signs of allergies that unfortunately this breed comes with. Try a piriton up to 3 times a day if necessary. Don't panic if you see lumps and bumps appear under his arms or on his belly. Use Aloe Vera or sudacrem to relieve the agitation. What diet do you have him on, this could be a contributing factor...?

Re: newbie
He has a collar but harness is coming tomorrow. We don't know what food he was on before. But he is eating taste of the wild dry dog food currently in the am and PM. He loves milo treats. Can I give him benadryl?

Re: newbie
The harness will help considerably with the pulling
Yes to Benadryl. Can use 1-3 times a day, start with 1 and see how he goes.
Not had experience with that particular food but the ingredients read well, cant see anything obvious that would contribute to allergies.

Re: newbie
Taste of the Wild is a good, medium price range food. The meat content is good & there are quite a few variations.
