So Luna ears started looking like this about two days ago? I’ve been cleaning them in morning and in the evening since I saw this. Does she need to go to the vets? I read that it might be ear mites but her and my cat touch off each other a lot and he’s ears are perfectly fine he has no signs of anything. Don’t know what to do as I’m not really able to take her to the vet until the end of the week 😭 she scratches occasionally but not much maybe like twice a day so I don’t think it is bothering her much ?

If she’s not itching, then maybe she just needs periodic ear cleaning.
I use an ear cleaner maybe once or twice a month for Nifty, not yet for Opium.

Keep an eye and if it gets worse, then consider a vet check

Yeah I saw the ear cleaner solutions but didn’t think I would need to be using it at such a young age

When I went to fetch Nifty at 8 weeks old, breeder showed/told me to clean her ears once a week. I don’t do it that often but maybe you just need to ensure you use a milder cleaner

I use a medicated cleaner once a month but in between if she starts scratching I just use a soft tissue to wipe them out carefully.

Thanks for all the replies, I got her a mild ear cleaner that you’re supposed to use for 3 consecutive days every 2 weeks and it seems to be doing the trick! She’s not a fan of it as it makes her ears bit oily but her ears are clean and healthy looking again Smile unfortunately the breeder never explained any of this to us, I had a chihuahua when I was young but to be honest we never even had to clean his ears until he became 4 years old so I wasn’t sure if this was normal or if she got mites!!
