Dog Reverse sneezing

Has anyones puppy done a reverse sneeze.I had no idea what was wrong when it first happened it was a terrible noise i thought something was seriously wrong till i looked it up

Katy does it quite often, it is scary when they 1st do it! Usually Katy stops be herself but sometimes I have to pat her chest quite hard between her front legs.

It isn't unusual. If something irritates the lining of their nostrils they will try to expel it by 'snorting' or reverse sneezing.

Don't get me wrong, there are health problems associated with reverse sneezing, but the occasional episode should not alarm!

It's easy to stop just place a finger over one nostril and it will stop within seconds.

They don't happen often and are short.My staffy i had years ago never did it that's why i had no clue as to what was wrong
