Is my dog a staffy?
I was told by a vet that my dog is a full breed English staffy. After diving into the internet, I'm not so sure. She's 47lbs so she weighs more than the average English staffy but less than the average American staffy.
She has the smaller body and muscle definition I come across in pictures of English staffys but her head looks like the American staffy. She's very vocal and expressive in a way I think more English staffys do. By what I've come across, it seems English staffys have a more expressive personality but I haven't encountered and articles discussing.
I've read thru so many sites and looked at so many pictures but an struggling to pinpoint her breed. I am unable to do a genetic test as she recently passed so I'm hoping this group can provide some answers.
This is simply curiosity.

Re: Is my dog a staffy?
Hi from me & Katy
Am I reading right that she has passed over the bridge? If so i'm very sorry
She looks staffy but could be Amstaff. My girl is from staffy parents but weighs in at about 60lb. They do vary a lot weight & build wise.

Re: Is my dog a staffy?
She did and it took quite a toll on my family and myself. By family I mean my dad would call all the time asking if he could take her to play. She was the best little goofball I stumbled upon while looking for a pug. Never ended up getting a pug. I am so in love with staffys since that day I met her. She was a great dog who had such a great life. I think she even knew she was the queen in life (in my family) so it makes me happy/proud she lived well!

I'm so sorry to hear that she has crossed the Bridge. What was her name?
She certainly looked like a Stafford, more terrier type than bull.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your lovely girl. Its always so hard.
She looks more english than american but not in my opinion pure bred, which could mean shes american x something too.
