Re: Feeding
My 8 month old has Acana puppy and I’m very happy with it.
It might be a bit more expensive but I find you feed less, I feed 2x 60g per day ...

Re: Feeding
Anything with 60% grain is not good (Burns puppy is 21% rice, 21% corn & probably about 15% oats, although there is no percentage mentioned) & the meat is only chicken 'meal' which can include any part of the chicken, including feet, feathers beak etc.
Because rice doesn't add much nutritionally, you have to feed more. That means that some so-called cheap foods are actually the same as or even more than a seemingly more expensive food.
You don't need to have a completely grain free food, but the less there is the better. Oats can be quite good, but wheat, rice & corn/maize are not. Wheat is one of the biggest culprits in canine allergies.

What you need to do is a bit of research to find the best compromise of your budget, the quality of the food and the compatibility with your dog.
You don’t necessarily have to look for cereal free but the ingredients have to be good quality. It’s the difference between eating a correct meal and eating junk food.
Lower quality feeds are often cheaper but you need to feed more to get the same quantity of good so in the end, you end up spending the same if not more than a higher quality feed. Compare feeding guides to have an idea.
Have a look at the feeds that have been mentioned here on the web site https://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk
It can give you an idea of what’s ok and what’s better.
Always look for first ingredient to be meat and ideally meat instead of meal, then look at which fillers they use. As gilly has said, some are much less desirable than others.
If you have questions, don’t hesitate and we can try to help
