feeding
Just wondering at what age you have started too wean pups onto adult food, i have noticed alot of the dry foods for pups say up until 18mnths but i wouldn,t have thought a year old staffy should be on puppy feed, my ava is 5mnths and has started too pinch my older dogs food obviously i don,t let her as know its not good for her yet!!

5 months is too young to go on to adult food yet. I'd wait till he's nearer 12 months & then see how he gets on with an adult mix.

I think puppy food is a bit of a money making scam TBH! Good quality adult foods are usually within the recommended nutritional amounts for pups anyway.

thanks Caryll i wouldn,t change her yet i normally wean from pup too adult food doing a gradual mix until they are on full adult food i just noticed the bag said 18mnths i felt that was too old too still be on pup food.Caryll wrote:5 months is too young to go on to adult food yet. Pups at 8-9 weeks whatever can be fed straight onto adult food.
Puppy food is a gimmick and if you really look at the ingredient 99% of them are the same for an increased price for puppy food alot of the time

feed them raw no age limit there,cheaper healthier cleaner,dogs love it so much better for them.
