Re: home remedies
Is there a problem or is this just for regular cleaning? If the latter, just a quick wipe with warm water of the outer ear should be enough. If for some reason you do need to get deeper, there are over the counter products you can buy online, such as this
I would add a caveat to go slowly cleaning dogs' ears unless you're advised to do so by a vet, in other words don't clean (other than the wipe) unless necessary. Unless there is a problem, such as ear yeast infection, ears generally keep themselves healthy without intervention.

If the ears are sore, but the skin isn't broken you can try Thornit powder.
There's always the old standby of lukewarm salty water wipe around the ear flap. Don't try putting anything 'in' the, though, as you could cause more problems than you solve.

Re: home remedies
To be honest, routine maintenance is just a quick wipe round with warm salty water.
