Pup in pain
1st off, we are going to take him to the vets tonight just to make sure.
Anyhow, currently he is randomly yelping. We are not sure of the cause as he is walking fine and doesnt appear to be in any pain in any of his joints etc. What we have noticed though is that he currently doesn't like anyone going near his mouth, he will run away.
Could it be teething problems, he is eating his food but watching him it looks like he's struggling to chew. He looks really sad, I just want him back to normal.

Poor thing. They certainly like to make us worry don’t they. Have you noticed if he grinds his teeth? Hope you get some answers later.

Re: Pup in pain
It’s always unpleasant and a huge worry to see them uncomfortable without knowing the cause.
Is it possible that he’s been playing with a stick or a bone that has splintered into the roof of his mouth ?
Good luck at the vets, do let us know if you find the cause

Re: Pup in pain
Just got back, he has an infection and a high temp. I think he said the infection was in his lymphoid, not sure if that's correct. The bit between his mouth and neck. He said if it's not getting better by Monday bring him back for an xray, just to make sure his jaw isn't broken. Doesn't think it is though as he had his mouth open without him screaming.
Will see how he is tomorrow, responded really well to antibiotics last time so hopefully it will work just as good.

Bless the little man, that sounds not at all nice. Fingers crossed the meds do the trick and he's feeling better soon.

Yeah, I hope so to. He said he think he's scratched himself or been bitten by something.
Not sure of the cause, I just hope he gets better soon.
I was going to post a pic but i can't do it, he just looked so sad. Sitting with his head down and his nose touching the floor

Seems to have improved this morning, far from 100% but at least he's taking off with shoes etc again lol.

That’s encouraging, maybe a bit less for your shoes though

It's a brand new pair lol, but if it makes him happy and feeling a bit better I don't mind.

Re: Pup in pain
Gus went through a stage of grinding his teeth when he was teething, we kept an eye on it and he eventually stopped. Sometimes the jaw can be misaligned and that can can cause pain. If the grinding gets worse it might be worth a quick visit to the vet.

Re: Pup in pain
Well done you for noticing something wasn't quite right and getting to the vet. Can't help any on the medical/teeth side of things, but just passing on well wishes for you.
