Sick of it
Ok there is a very distressing story in the daily mail ( I know why on earth do I give this rag the time of day) of a Beagle being killed by two dogs. Yesterday the dogs were reported Pits. Today the headline is Bloodthirsty Staffordshire Terriers.
The pictures show two massive dogs! They are impossible to be Staffy. Later in the article the breeds are Bully Kutta and ridgeback x staff.
So why the headline of Staffy??

Re: Sick of it
because they know what sells papers! It's what people, believe it or not, want to read!
Bully Kutta's are not a breed, by the way, so I don't know where that dog's come from. The only place I've heard of them is in Pakistan where they've been bred as fighting dogs for many years.

How anyone in this country has one that hasn't been seized, I'll never know!

Yes I'd never even heard of that breed until I looked it up earlier. Plus I didn't watch the video but the picture looked like the poor dog had his ears cropped!
Yep the Daily mail do love a good Staffy headline and they are never one to let facts get in the way.

Typical tabloid trash, anything to sell papers even if it's completely wrong

Yes, the dog's been imported - you tell me how that's got past any import regulations?
I love most dogs, but dogs such as that should be humanely destroyed. There's no place for that type of dog in the UK.

Re: Sick of it
Quite shocking !
If you search the net for Staffordshire Terrier, that sends you to AmStaff which are also one of the breeds commonly called pit bulls.
So technically, if they refer to Staffordshire Terrier, it’s different to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The Staffordshire Terrier IS the AmStaff & the AmStaff is the registered, show version of the American Pitbull Terrier. They're all the same except that the AmStaff is more 'polished' and of a more standard appearance.
