New to group from NY
HI My name is Michele and I recently adopted my boy Enzo in Sept however not off to a good start since he became ill with discospondylitis two weeks after adopting him..He is still not walking or getting up. was treated for five days at the animal hospital and had every test done including MRI which is how they confirmed what it was, Has anyone dealt with this illness? I know the recovery is long but need some reassurance he will be able to get up and walk like they say.. He is such a sweetheart and it breaks my heart to see him in pain( on pain meds) My American Bulldog died in July and we were so happy to get Enzo only want him to have the best

Hi & Welcome to the Forum from Flo and me
I have no experience of discosponiltis, but my girl has had spinal surgery in the last year. In the early days it looked like she wouldn't walk but with physio and time she is now running, albeit not so fast, across the park chasing her Stix.
Has your fella had surgery or meds to reduce swelling?

Hi and welcome!
I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles, both Enzo's illness and the loss of your old dog. I've no experience with this so can't help, I'm afraid, other than keeping my fingers crossed for you.
