Re: Been thinking again
I think it does Niff I remember when my 2 were younger (kids i mean) if they had fizzy pop they were wired all night so we looked at all there diet and removed some items and it had a dramatic effect they slept better and were not as hyper.
When Milly first got her skin probs we had to put her on a fish only diet which meant no treats and she seemed alot calmer. Once we came of the diet we gave her sum treats as we felt she had missed out and boy were we sorry she was wired. We still give her treats but we watch when we give them her and how often and we seem to have reached a acceptable level.

Re: Been thinking again
I believe food surely affects their behavior and health similar to the way it does us.

Re: Been thinking again
I agree with what has been said above, you will definately see a difference if you fed a 6 month pup bakers and then changed to something natural like wainwrights and compared them.

Re: Been thinking again
Back to kids..............when my son was a toddler we were pulling our hair out with his hyperactivity. It was like watching a cooped up puppy running in nervous circles (anybody who's had a pup will know what I mean!). Then I read about some drinks that had loads of e-numbers etc added & I started to look at ingredients. For a week, I stuck only to pure fruit juice, milk and water. The change was so dramatic, it was unbelievable.
After a week I tried him back on a couple of drinks like Panda (full of additives!) and he was tearing around again within minutes of drinking it.
It's the same with processed food - you have to be really careful cause some people/dogs react really badly to the additives. A friend of mine's son used to become uncontrollable if he ate an aero! In order to get the bubbles to stay in the chocolate they have to add things that reacted really badly with him.
P.S.
Take care with the thinking, niff - it hurts when you're not used to it!
