TESS'S POST OP UPDATE.
Well,Tess went in for spaying yesterday womb and ovaries removed.Picked her up from the vet's at 16.30,the vet said she had been a great patient, they never heard her.The nurse gave us all the usual info such as no jumping, short walks etc. What a joke.Got her home from the vet's and as expected after the anesthetic was a little quieter than normal.Came down from bed this morning expecting to find a very stiff and feeling sorry for herself Tess, but no not a chance, she was going about as if yesterday's ordeal never happened. You try your best to restrict her activity, but how can you do this to a young agile staff unless you keep her in her crate,or watch her 24/7,it's impossible.I tried my best but as soon as your not looking she is jumping up on her usual sofa and chairs, you let her out in the garden and as soon as your back is turned she is up on the garden bench with her tail wagging hoping you will go and sit with her.Honestly, apart from being a little bit whiny for attention you wouldn't think she'd had a major op.What a tough hardy breed the staffy is.

Sorry, I shouldn't laugh but it sounds so familiar! Good luck keeping her quiet, you'll need it!

Ah that's so good to hear she is back to herself. They are tough little souls aren't they. I remember keeping Misty quiet was so hard for two weeks. I hope these two weeks go quickly for you!

It's amazing how quickly they get over surgery like that. You try to keep them as calm as possible to stop any injury but how do you explain this to a Staffy
Glad to read all is good Kit, now the best of luck keeping her calm

Good luck Kit, Katy leapt up into our big 4wd when we picked her up after her op slept a bit before devouring roast chicken & rice, then the following day wanted to play Tug O War!!!! I wish humans were like that
