Back leg shaking Empty Back leg shaking

Debo's back leg shakes. It's been like that since I can remember,we've asked every vet we've met, all said the same that they can't see a problem, his not in pain. It's more when he's excited or had a good exercise. But we've noticed that when he stands he putd his left rear leg in angle, when I correct his leg, he puts it back where it's comfortable for him. I do worry that he might have some health issues when his older. Anyone have a idea? I

It sounds like maybe something structural that's not causing a problem. I had the same discussion about the longer term with 2 vets about Millie, whose back end is deformed, and both said the same - there might be an increased risk of arthritis later on if the bones aren't at the right angle but there's nothing you can do about it now so don't worry until (if) anything later happens. My guess is it's the same answer for Debo.

It may be that the position he is standing in effects a nerve. If he is walking and running ok without showing signs lameness or distress I wouldn't worry too much at present.I suppose the only way to make sure that everything is as it should be is an xray.

Hi thank you both. He's fine otherwise, he does lots of running, loves his frisbee. The thing is x-ray wouldn't show anything probably, would need to do MRI. Will just give him supplements for joints and bones.

Yes very wise thing to do,plenty of fish oil to keep everything lubricated. You never know it might just go away in time.

I would think it's a nerve thing and probably nothing to worry about if he's running and walking ok
