Re: Shaking
I'm not sure, when you say shaking was it like a twitching type of movement and only the one leg?

Re: Shaking
The things that come to mind are a muscle quiver or a nerve twitching, maybe due to an over extension during his walk. Has it settled yet?

Re: Shaking
Its nothing to worry about its just a muscle tremor as the muscles in the hind leg are very large its a natural way to relax them either after excercise or expansion

Re: Shaking
Sounds like overexcitment/twitchy muscle. Romeos boxer homeboy gets it. You could help him out by giving him a leg massage, odd as that sounds.

Re: Shaking
Well I went home at lunch time to check Roy and he was delighted to see me- he was still shaking, and the odd time he lifted his left leg up as if he was limping! I brought him for a walk and he was grand shaky but grand, he stopped a few times to lie down but I think thats the weather! I'll keep an eye on him, if its the same next week think ill bring him to the vet for a check!

Re: Shaking
My dads 4 year old staffy has a shaky front leg, but it's usually only when he's sitting or laying down. I think it is a staffy thing cos I know quite a few that do it.

Re: Shaking
Hi, mine have this muscle tremor thing after they exercise or when they put too much weight on one muscle (ie. lean and lift one leg the other one supporting them shakes). If it seems localised to just one muscle then doesn't sound like a fit or neurological thing. Is it just one leg that shakes? Can he still move around fine when its happening? Does he look frightened/ are there any strange symptoms associated with it (eg. eyes rolling, heavy breathing).
