How often do I feed him

Have a 9 month old Staffy he weighs 16 kilos do I feed him once or twice a day I only ask because he is not great on morning feed but loves his night feed he also gets training treats during the day and a raw bone twice a week

I feed my 2yr old 19kg boy twice a day, he often leaves the morning feed but i know hes ok as healthy weight/size, plenty of exercise, human treats in morn, raw treats each arvo & scoffs his evening meal

me personally would feed twice a day is your dog still on puppy food ? if he doesn't eat his morning meal perhaps cut down the training treats .at his age he will mkre than likely need adult food if hes still getting puppy food.

I've always fed adult dogs twice a day but if your lad's not keen on breakfast, maybe give him just a little bit then and, as Bek says, as long as he's happy and healthy, don't worry.

Try twice a day but make breakfast after your boy's first walk of the day. He may walk up an appetite

Twice a day, just a taster in the morning for initial energy levels. something fatty and quick digestion and main meal about half hour after a run/exercise . can try rendered fat mixed with dryed meat. am of the opinion of the hunting dogs that chase and run down prey and eat... not waiting for an hour in case of bloat... my two feed as soon as they get back.

i would always advise not feeding within at least half an hour each side of exercise. our dogs are NOT wild animals & you can't compare the way they eat t their wild cousins. i have seen a dog with bloat (luckily survived) and it's very distressing. if feeding immediately works for you, fine - but it's a little irresponsible to advise others to do the same, against modern health recommendations.

it's usually best to feed twice a day, but all dogs are different. some just need a sma breakfast, with the bulk of their food in the evening.

I feed mine twice a day equal amounts.We have just changed his puppy food from Pro Plan to Origen after reading all the good reports and so far so good.We had to get him a special dish to slow him down as we were afraid of bloat.He is a faster eater than my stomach on legs labrador was.

I leave her dried food out all day, and usually she don't touch it till the evening, it works for us.

I was feeding bella twice a day at 9 months but maybe try a large ish treat like a dental stick or something of that size if his not a great eater in the morning
