Re: Big,small or ideal?
Dayna, you seem to be worrying a lot about whether Skye is developing properly. Please, don't stress, it's not good for you! At 8 weeks old, she's unlikely to be overweight and if she was underweight your vet would have mentioned it.
She will go through phases like kids do, you'll get some steady growing followed by a sudden spurt, and then settle back to just steady growing again. That makes it really hard to say what the ideal weight for a puppy is at a particular point in time. You're better making sure that she right for her height at the moment. Even with puppies, you don't want a layer of fat that means you can't feel the ribs, but equally you don't want to see the ribs.
If you are unsure about whether she's the right weight for her size, pop her in to the vets and I'm sure a nurse will be happy to have a quick chat.
Relax, she'll be fine!

I agree with Liz Dayna, if you can feel the ribs but not see them and there's a nice waist then you won't go far wrong through out Skye's life (however much she tries to convince you that she's actually starving as they all do )

Re: Big,small or ideal?
don't get hung up on weights/heights etc. as said, if she's growing well & she's not fat or skinny then she's tge right weight for her.

Absolutely agree with Liz! She will be what she will be, there's no use worrying about it and you can't change it! So just enjoy her
