6 month puppy weight
hey guys
my staffy girl has just turned 6 months and i was wondering what a guideline weight should be. she was weighed 2 weeks ago at 11.5 kg, you can feel her ribs at a light touch and she is walked twice a day(30mns) and ran in soft sand 3 times a week for 20 mns. she has a definite wasteline and doesnt look overweight but iv been told shes too heavy by one person and told shes a large puppy(physical size) for her age compared to others. shes a pure bread with good background and her mother and father were also large dogs.

Re: 6 month puppy weight
Hi ya, welcome to the forum
From what you've said above, it sounds like you've got it just about right. You shouldn't be able to see the ribs but feel them and a waist is spot on. Some Staffies are heavier set than others which is probably why you are getting mixed messages.

Sounds about right to me too. However, photos are most definitely needed (preferably lots of cute ones) to be sure...

She looks great, no weight problem as I can see, she is only a puppy and still loads to grow.
